NSP Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS (Minorities) 2023-24 is an initiative introduced by the Ministry of Minority Affairs (MoMA), Government of India. This scholarship aims to provide financial support to students belonging to minority communities who are pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies in technical or professional fields. The goal is to ensure that deserving and disadvantaged students can afford their course fees and receive a maintenance allowance.

Eligibility Criteria of NSP Merit Cum Means Scholarship 2023-24 :
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Belong to minority communities, including Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Jains, and Parsis/Zoroastrians.
- Be pursuing a technical or professional course at the undergraduate or postgraduate level from a recognized institution.
- Have secured at least 50% marks or an equivalent grade in the previous final examination.
- Have an annual family income of less than INR 2.50 lakhs from all sources.
Benefits of NSP Merit Cum Means Scholarship 2023-24 :
The selected candidates will receive the following benefits –

Selection Process of NSP Merit Cum Means Scholarship 2023-24 :
- Fresh Applications Criteria:
- Number of scholarships fixed State/UT-wise based on Census 2001 (2017-18) & 2011 (2018-20) minority population.
- State-wise allocations determined by Community-wise minority population.
- Scholarship awarded to applicants from listed institutions based on merit list.
- If applicants exceed State/Community-wise quota, normal merit list criteria applied.
- Income considered as deciding factor in case of similar marks.
- Applications for Renewal:
- Scholars eligible for renewal if they achieve 50% in previous year’s exams in the same course and institute.
- Applicant’s renewal application must be verified by designated authorities (as per Ministry of Minority Affairs).
- Approval required from State Governments/UTs for renewal.

- Students cannot avail benefits under any other scheme concurrently

- Evaluation cost borne by the Ministry of Minority Affairs
- State/UT to publish financial and physical achievement details on their website
- Rules and regulations subject to change at the discretion of the Government of India
- Scholarship amount credited to Aadhaar-seeded bank account only
- Aadhaar number necessary for application; alternative identification documents accepted
