NSP Post Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities 2023-24, launched by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of India, aims to assist physically disabled students from Class 11 to postgraduate levels. Eligibility Criteria of NSP Post Matric Scholarship for Students with Disabilities 2023-24 :

  • Indian national
  • Studying from Class 11 to post-graduation in a UGC/AICTE-recognized university
  • Disability certified at more than 40%
  • Annual family income less than INR 2,50,000
  • Employed students with income not exceeding the scholarship amount can apply
  • 50% of scholarships reserved for female candidates

Note:- The list of courses grouped (I to IV) is only illustrative and not exhaustive. The State Governments/Union Territory Administrations are, thus, themselves competent to decide the appropriate grouping of courses at their level.

Reimbursement of Compulsory Non-refundable:

Students will receive reimbursement for the compulsory fees they pay to their college, such as tuition fees, enrolment fees, games fees, union fees, library fees, magazine fees, and medical examination fees. The maximum amount that can be reimbursed is INR 1,50,000 per annum. Refundable deposits, such as caution money and security deposits, are not included in the reimbursement.

Note: Recognized institutions can fully reimburse the compulsory non-refundable fees charged for both free and paid seats in recognized courses, up to a maximum ceiling of INR 1,50,000 per annum.

A book allowance of INR 1,500 per annum will also be provided.
